The Winemaker's Dinner Tour & Giveaway: Author's Favorite Recipes

Authors' Favorite Recipes
Christmas in my house has always been a hectic affair, but I guess that’s what happens when you have twenty-six aunts and uncles and over seventy cousins. Yep, no doubt about it, Christmas dinner was always eventful. But despite the challenges each dinner brought with it, one thing always remained the same... tradition. My family always followed the 4F rule: Family, friends, food, and fun. Many recipes have been passed down from grandparents, to parents, to me and my cousins, and now to my nephews and a new generation of cousins, but my favorite one of all has got to be the Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake recipe. I’ve spent years perfecting this recipe, trying to get the spices just right, and now for the first time, I’m sharing it with you. I hope you and yours enjoy it as much as my family and I have.

Merry Christmas,

Everly

Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake

2 ½ cups of ginger snap cookie crumbs
½ cup of melted butter
3 – 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, softened
1 cup of pumpkin puree
1 ½ tbsp of cinnamon
1 ¼ tsp of nutmeg
1 ¼ tsp of all spice
¾ tsp of ground ginger
3 eggs, room temperature

 Preheat oven to 350˚.

Start by melting the butter in a small saucepan. Once melted, remove from the heat and add the cookie crumbs. Stir until the crumbs have absorbed all of the butter. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of an 8 inch springform pan.

In a large bowl, cream together sugar, spices, and cream cheese. Once the mixture is smooth and well blended, add the pumpkin puree and mix well. Add one egg at a time until the mixture is well blended and has a smooth consistency.

Pour the cream cheese mixture into the prepared cookie crust. Bake at 350 ˚ for 50 minutes or until set. If the crust starts to brown too much, you can cover the cake with tin foil but be sure to tent the foil so it doesn’t touch the cream cheese part of the cake.

Remove from oven and allow the cake to cool to room temperature. Do not remove it from the spring form pan. Once it has cooled to room temperature, cover the cake with tin foil and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours. It’s best if you can let it set in the fridge for 24 hours. Once the cake has set, it can be removed from the pan and will last for five days if kept in the fridge.

Dr. Ivan Rusilko Shares a Recipe

This recipe was actually shared with me by my brother who was looking for a way to impress women and his friends in college in a both cheap and easy way...
Italian Chicken and Broccoli (The College Version)
Serves for 2-4 people

4 chicken breasts
1 bottle of low fat Italian dressing
2 heads of broccoli
lemon juice

1. Chop all chicken breasts into 1" x 1" cubes
2. Combine all chicken and full bottle of dressing into a frying pan and heat over medium high stove until dressing is fully reduced and chicken is well browned but not black. Stir occasionally.
3. Place full heads of broccoli on a plate with a light dusting of lemon juice and heat for 6 minutes in the microwave. Remove and dice according to personal preference and presentation.
4. Combine both on a plate along with your favorite red or white and congratulations.... you just became a college chef!

Thanks, bro!

Book description

Dr. Ivan Rusilko has got it bad. He’s in love—with life, his work, and his baby girl, Jaden Thorne. The nearly 3000 miles between Miami and L.A. that once threatened their happily-ever-after now seem nothing more than a mere geographical challenge—nothing a few hours on a plane and a sexy weekend rendezvous can’t trump. No time apart is too long to keep him from wanting her in his arms and in his bed. He’s absolutely sure Jaden is his dream come true.

Jaden Thorne is living the life she’s always wanted. She’s got her one-in-a-million job on a TV cooking show, she’s achieved celebrity chef status, and she’s in a committed relationship with her perfect guy… Then the network’s surprise decision to add a co-host to her show takes a bite out of her perfectly balanced life and career. With a new man in the mix, living the dream gets a whole lot more complicated both personally and professionally.

When the emotional, mental, and physical paths of true love’s course collide with frustration, secrets, and assumptions, will Ivan and Jaden pay the price? Does their dream-come-true cost something neither can afford?

The Winemaker’s Dinner: Entrée is a decadent meal of passion, sex, and secrets, inspired by the real romantic life of Dr. Ivan Rusilko. Authors Everly Drummond and Dr. Ivan Rusilko have turned up the heat in this emotional follow up to The Winemaker’s Dinner: Appetizers, expertly executing their unique recipe for blending fact and fantasy, with more than a dash of passion and sex.

Ooh, these sound yummy! I would love some Italian Chicken and Broccoli, followed by Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake and a good vino!

Gonna save these recipes and try them out soon :) Thanks for sharing!

And to answer the question in Rafflecopter:

I love that The Winemaker's Dinner is a fictionalized erotic memoir based on Dr. Ivan's real life and romantic trysts! As much as I enjoy fictional characters and book boyfriends, Dr. Ivan is real (and oh so gorgeous! *swoon*) and gives us hope that one day we might meet our very own Dr. Ivan! Haha, a girl can dream huh?

I can't wait for The Winemaker's Dinner: Entrée! Love me some Ivan already please ;)

All the best to Everly and Dr. Ivan on the release of The Winemaker's Dinner: Entrée! Just 48 hours more to go!

Since I haven't read many books based on real events (and none of those were erotica), I can't really say I have a preference. I've read more straight fiction because there's more of that.

In the end, all I can say is I have a different mindset when reading 'based on true events' stories. I do wonder if it really happened that way and I wonder about the biases of the writer and the writer's sources.

Thanks for the chance to win, the book looks really interesting.
