Bloggy Giveaway - Lavender Eye Pillow

As part of the Bloggy Carnival, I'm giving away a lavender eye pillow. Winner will have their choice of colors. I will also give a choice between lightly lavender scented or heavey lavender scented. These are handmade, and I make them with an inner pillow and removable case that can be taken off and washed without ruining the pillow.

This giveaway is only for the United States, please.

    Hi Elizardbreath and charmed - the title comes from the Tori Amos song "Spring Haze." I must have been feeling melodramatic the day I created the blog. I just haven't felt the urge to change it.

    The lyrics are:

    Please enter me! Your sight might look a little better if you had an avatar in the top right (maybe a picture of you?) or a picture in your blog header. It is really easy to add an avatar; just go to your profile page. If you don't want a picture of yourself, maybe a picture of some raspberries, since that is part of your name.

    I would talk about the meaning of the blog name in your profile. Before I clicked I was expecting something very dark. I mean, drowning leads to death and everything. :)

    I think you could use a background that's a little more fun. Something patterned. The pink's a little bright for my taste and kind of bugs my eyes. Other than that, I like your blog.

    You talk about fun things on your blog. My personal preferences are more pictures and more color. This is a very basic layout and you sound like a creative person but the style doesn't really reflect your personality.

    i think more pictures, a layout change would help. also, you have to scroll pretty far down to see your archives and all of that stuff. definitely interested in the lavendar eye pillows!

    I'm not sure if the title is supposed to be serious or fun, but you could think about adding some more graphics or pictures, or a tagline to give new visitors an idea of "what you're about". :)

    After visiting a gazillion sites this week, I am a new expert (ha!). Love, love the title. Who cares what it means! You do need some graphics. Just don't put a dark main background - some of these sites are almost impossible to read! Like your pink, lighter one.

    It's hard to explain, but I love the laid-back feel to your blog! The crafts and soap-making are very interesting to me. As far as improvements, maybe just a little more color! But I really love your blog....Definitely bookmarked! Thanks for such a generous giveaway!

    So, I saw your explanation for the name of your blog, but I knew that the line was from a song before I saw that... I just couldn't place that it was Tori Amos and I love her music!

    I think you have a very cool personality and you should try to reflect that in your blog more, maybe with a favorite picture up top or something?

    You asked awhile back about making tails... you can buy fake fur at just about any material store (possibly even walmart). Just buy a quarter of a yard, turn it inside out (cut it down if you want a different shape), sew it, turn it right side out, stuff it and then sew a piece of velcro or elastic (velcro could go through a back belt loop, elastic would probably go all the way around your waist). Voila, a tail!

    Take this with a grain of salt, but posting a cheery image on the top side of your page and regular pictures with each post makes such a difference! Also a little box explaining the meaning of your blog might be cool too. I hope that helps!

    I LOVE TORI AMOS! Plus, Spring Haze is one of my all time favorite Tori songs. I went to your blog and was immediately sucked in. My boyfriend and I met when I was 12 and he was 15 (on the bus) it took us 9 years to be together, and now we have been together for 7. I love that you share all sorts of things and that each of your posts is something different - pictures, recipes, lists, musings - great blog! I really hope I win!     Great giveaway! I love homemade items, and I've been wanting an eye pillow for a while. :)

    I hate criticizing blogs. Truly. But since you're asking, your tag list is a bit overwhelming, and there's a lot of stuff there with only one item in the tag. Unless you're really wanting to be that specific, you could consider condensing the list by generalizing your tags a little bit more, maybe?

    I like your blog! I was just reading the 100 things about you and it's funny how I can relate to so many of the things.
